The Woman In the Library

The Woman in the Library by Sulari Gentill is a novel within a novel within a novel. In the book, an author is corresponding with a fan of her work. She sends him chapters of the book she is writing, which is the main storyline. And the novel she is writing is about an author who’s writing a book. It seems confusing, but it works.

The main story opens in the Boston Public Library when a scream is heard. The surprise and ensuing mayhem bring four characters together who were seated near each other. When it’s revealed a murder was committed in the library, the four band together to investigate. It has a strong plot and well defined characters. Very well written with twists, turns, suspense, and a little humor thrown in. I would highly recommend it.
